CENSURING GENERALS.
The enquiry held by General Phayrc at Candahar into the causes of the disaster to the brigade under General Burrows at Hush) Rinakahun, on the 27th July, has terminated, and the report has been forwarded to the Viceroy. In an official intimation the Viceroy declared that an investigation of
the circumstances discloses serious incapacity on the part of General Primrose and General Burrows, both of whom arc denounced as answerable for the disaster. General Primrose is blamed for havingdispatched abrigadc of insufficient strength
to meet an enemy who was known to be advancing in force, and the movements of General Burrows while in indepondaut command are strongly censured. He is held to have exhibited a want of military judgment.
