No sheep were exposed for sale, but this is hardly the season to expect sheep sales, as we are so close on shearing. Horses are dull ot sale, a dray, harness, and horse being sold for £7 ss. The day was very boisterous, with heavy thunder showers, and tbo evening set in cold.

Cricket Club. —A practice match between picked sides - of the Wavcrley Cricket Club was hold on the recreation ground on Saturday afternoon. Some good playing was shown, and good humor prevailed. In the evening the members of the club met at the Commercial Hotel, where the following officers were elected : Captain, Mr Fookes ; secretary and treasurer, Mr Seed ; committee, Messrs Mason, Thurston, and Christmas. With careful and regular practice this ought to become a good club.

Rifle Range. —Mr Edwards has finished his contract on the range, which consisted of erecting a shed, new butts, and shifting targets. Taking everything into consideration, the work is well done and the committee expressed satisfaction with the manner in which the contract was carried out.
