CANTERBURY STOCK. (Latest Report.') The Addington sale on Wednesday last was largely attended. Over sis thousand sheep were brought forward, all of which, strange to say, were fat, not a single store being yarded. Considering this large supply, the bidding was brisk, and very satisfactory prices were obtained. Cattle were not so numerous as usual. Sheep.—Some prime lots very oll'crcd, and the best lines of cross-breds sold up to 19s Gel ; good ditto, 15s to 17s Gd ; merinos of extra pnne quality realised 15s 3d ; good do, 12s 3d. We quote mutton at 3d per lb. Cattle. —Notwithstanding the small supply, cattle were dull of sale, this being probably due to the large number disposed of last week. Extra prime bullocks sold up to £l2. We quote beef at 22s per 1001bStores were in fair supply, but as prices did not reach owners’ expectations many of them were passed in. Two-year-olds sold up to £4 5s ; yearlings, £'2 15s and £3 ; calves. £1 15s. Pigs,—There was a little better inquiry for pigs, which realised up to £3 10s. CANTERBURY GRAIN & PRODUCE(Latest Report.) Wheat. —A few sales can be reported during the week at prices fully sustaining previous quotations. Good milling is saleable at 4s Id to 4s 2d, and extra prime at 4s 3d. Tower grades have been sold at 3s Gd to 3s lOd. The enquiry for the seed Tuscan has greatly abated. Oats. —Fair sales of both milling and feed samples arc reported. The former at Is Gd to Is Bd, the latter at Is 4d to Is sd. Bareev. —The market for this grain has in no way altered. Best quality is saleable at 3s to 3s 3d, and fair malting samples find buyers at 2s Gd to 2s lOd. Potatoes. —Nominally at 20s. Flour is in fair demand at £lO 10s to £ll. AUCKLAND STOCK.
