CANTERBURY STOCK. (Latest Report.) There was a fair attendance at the Addington Yards on Wednesday, and the stock yarded comprised 2,G48 sheep, G56 cattle, and 59 pigs. The bidding was brisk for sheep, but in other lines the market was inactive. Sheer. —The supply of sheep being rather smaller than usual, a rise equal to about Is 6d per head all round was experienced. There were no picked lots this week, but still the quality was good. Best cross-breds sold as high as 20s fid, good do 15s fid to IGs fid, merinos 12. We quote mutton at 2;jd per lb. There were no stores to hand worth quoting. There is still a good demand fur this class of stock. Cattle.— The quality of the beef cattle yarded was very good, but the supply being in excess of requirements, many lots were turned out unsold. Extra prime heavy weights realised £l3 10s, and we quote beef at 21s per 1001b. Stores were in large supply, and there was rather a scarcity of buyers. Two or three year olds sold at from £2 17s fid to £3 ss; one

■ and two year olds at £2 5s to £2 10s; calves, £l-1 Os to £1 15s. Pigs.—The supply being small, the bidding was pretty brisk, the prices obtained ranging up to £3 10s. LONDON WOOL. London, July.
