The Sale of the Plains.
PRELIMINARY NOTICE. The Gazette notifies that the nortion oj the Plains, 7000 acres, to about the end of Qctober, “ lies on the west bank of the Waingorigora River, has a frontage of nearly three miles to the sea, and is c compact area (four by three miles) of undulating ground. The block is well watered, and is intersected by a wellformed metalled road, being part of the main coast road-line from Hawcra to New Plymouth. The distance from Hawcra to the bridge across; Waingongoro is four miles. “The land is..surveyed, into .sections from 50. to 80 acres each. About one-third of the block will be open for application on deferred payments, and two-thirds, will ■be offered for sale by public auction. “Pull particulars as to areas and time and place of sale will shortly appear. Lithograph plans arc in preparation, and will be obtainable at all the land offices in the colony on aiid after tlie 13th instant.”
