He gained four first - prizes in Victoria, and was awarded second prize at the Victoria Grand National Exhibition at : Sandhurst in 1876.: He was bred by J. Howard, Esq., of Melbourne, by the celebrated imported sire Governor, dam thoroughbred mare by Belladonna, by Warhawk.
