Mr Gladstone’s Illness.
EXCITEMENTON THECONTINENT LATEST BULLETIN FAVORABLE. {Special Despatches to the Mail.) London, 3rd. The illness of the Prime Minister has caused great excitement in the United Kingdom, and also on the Continent, on account of his influence on foreign policy, and especially in taking a leading part in the coercion of Turkey. He has been suffering from a severe attack of congestion of the lungs, and his advanced age causes the symptoms of his malady to be watched with special anxiety. His condition has improved slightly, but he is still feverish. It is feared that Mr Gladstone will be unable to attend in the House of Coin>mons during the remainder of the session, which should close by the middle of August, but is likely to be prolonged.
