According to defendant, wrong items had been entered in another case, and these have to be corrected by next court day. PuuLic Meeting. —A meeting of ratepayers was held in the old Town Hall, bn Wednesday evening; The meeting was very much divided in opinion as to what sort of fence would best suit the climate. After much talk and some thinking, it was resolved, that , a double ditch and bank, fence be pi a n ted with gorse both sides. It is not expensive, and if carefully kept, the fence may be fbund to answer the purpose.

The sections began at 31s. per acre, and gradually rose in price till the Inst section was knocked down at 445. The length of the lease is 19 years. The fences have to be trimmed twice a year, and all the gates arc to be after one pattern, the cost of eacli gate not to exceed three pounds.
