Dodson, President of the Local Government Board, has been unseated for Chester, owing to corrupt practices of his agent. EVACUATION OF CABUL. London, 19th, The correspondent of the Times telegraphs that the evacuation of Cabal by British troops has commenced. COMPENSATING IRISH TENANTS. London, 20th. The Bill introduced by Goveniment for granting compensation to Irish tenant farmers under conditions, came again under consideration in the House of Commons last night, The amend meat which was adopted on Saturday, fixing the conditions upon which landlords would be required to make compensation was, after further diccussion, negatived, and the Bill finally passed through committee. The political situation remains unchanged pending the meeting of Parliament to-morrow. It is understood that no meeting has yet taken place between Mr Berry and Sir John O’Shaunnessy, and much speculation continues to exist as to their probable relations hv the House. A caucus of Opposition Members will be held to-night to decide upon the line of action.
