Slit, —In your report of the last mooting of the County Council I atn reported to have said, when .speaking to a motion with reference to a grant to Patea Library, that I proposed a grant to Ilawera Library last year, and was now sorry Cor it. What I said was that I opposed the grant in question, and was sorry that it passed. Councillor Milne and myself were the only members who opposed it, and I tried at the next mooting to get the motion rescinded but failed.—l am, &c., W. Dale. Paten, July 12th.
