Laucour, the new French Ambassador at the British Court. Mr O’Donnell made an attack upon his antecedents. Mr Gladstone moved that Mr O’Donnell be not hoard, and ultimately Mr O’Donnell’s motion was withdrawn, to avoid the difficulty of carrying the “ gagging”'tnolion of the Premier. THE CRICKET TOUR. London, 14th. The Australians have played against 18 North of Ireland, at Belfast. The local team made 100 in first innings, and the Australians scored 102 first innings. A very dose contest so far, “ GORDON PASHA.” ' Colonel Gordon having failed to obtain permission to go to China, has tendered resignation of his position in the British service. He now goes to China to conduct military operations of Chinese troops in Kashgar.
