TARANAKI HARBOR WORKS.

(Telegram from our Correspondent.) New Plymouth, Friday. The harbor engineer has returned from England. Tie has purchased all the plant necessary for carrying on the harbor works according to Sir John Goode’s new plan. Ho has purchased Crawc’s steam launch, an iron pier, and everything required, the greater part of which is to come out in a vessel direct to this port. He has purchased a large supply of the best cement at a low figure. A Board meeting will bo held on Tuesday, when be will report the result of his mission to England. THE PLAINS. New Plymouth, Friday. The camp at Ngaknmikumi will not be moved this winter, and: the men are building themselves wha'res, as it will bo too cold to stop under canvas.
