COACH ROAD STOPPED. (Sjxcktl by Telegraph .) Waitotara, Wednesday Evening. Owing to alterations being made to a culvert near Okehu, all wheel traffic has been stopped since Monday between Maxwclltown’ 'and Kai Iwi, except by making a long detour to seaward. The Waverley coach last night; did not arrive from Wanganui till 9.30, instead of 6.46 ; and this morning the Taranaki coach arrived here at 10.15, instead of 8.30. The road is expected to be again open for traffic about-Saturday next. ■ • 1 • Wednesday, Later. ; The evening coach, just arrived from Wanganui, reports damaged culvert sufficiently repaired to admit of crossing with great difficulty. It would appear that in trying to tunnel through an embankment for a new wooden box to replace an old one, the whole embankment was washed away. -
