BOY BURGLARS. Auckland, 14th. Three juvenile burglars were charged at the Police Court to daj r . They eft’cctd an entrance into a house in the suburbs, stealing a watch and other articles. The two youngest were sent to the Industrial School, and the eldest remanded. CHAMPION WALKING. Christchurch, 15 th. The final deposit of DOsovs. each was staked yesterday by Bowley and O’Connor for the 7-mile walking match for 200sovs., to take place on Thursday next. Both men are very fit, and the contest is likely to bo an exciting one. LARGE FILE AT DUNEDIN. Dunedin, 15th. The old Supreme Court-house, now used as railway oflices, were almost completely destroyed by fire this morning. All the books and papers of the Commissioner and locomotive engineer wore destroyed. SUICIDE AT SEA. Auckland, Monday. The ship Loch Dec arrived from London yestoiday. During the voyage one passenger committed suicide, and three fell overheard and were drowned. SIR GEORGE GREY AT CHRISTCHURCH. Christchurch, Monday. The arrangements for Sir George Grid’s reception and public address to-morrow, are now complete. ITc will be the guest of the Liberal Reform Association. THE DEFICIT. Auckland, Monday. Mr Moss, M.H.R. for Parnell, has published a financial estimate, by which it is made out that the deficit is 1:070,000.
