PROTECTION AGAINST NEW ZEALAND. Melbourne, Gth. A deputation of fanners waited to-day upon the Premier to ask that a policy of protection bo adopted against the introduction of New Zealand grain in Victoria. Mr Service, in replying, offered no encouragement to the views of the deputation. A MISSING SHIP. Melbourne, Monday. This constituency had elected Mr Gladstone, without solicitation, but as he chose to sit for Midlothian,' Leeds, has now elected his son.
