CARLYLE TOWN BOARD.
At the monthly mooting hold last night, g'cveml matters of importance Avcro discussed at some length ; and it being impracticable to report so late a meeting with the fulness due to the importance of the business, our report is held over till Thursday. Application Avas made for extension of road to property near the Hospital. Mr Shenvood addressed a letter to the board suggesting a large scheme of local public Avorks, t "th proA’ision for the needful borroAving pOAvers; and he also made a personal statement to the board in support of his letter. A proposal for planting trees in or about the toAvn Avas also discussed and a committee appointed.
