HONOR FOR LORD LYTTON. London, April 13. In view of the approaching resignation of the Ministry, Lord Lytlon, Viceroy of India, has been raised to an Earldom. MISSING SHIP. London, April 13. The training ship Atlanta, with 300 souls aboard, is reported missing. She left Bermuda at the end of January, and was returning from a cruise there. Great anxiety prevails regarding her safety. The Channel Squadron have been ordered to search for the missing vessel. CATHEDRAL FOR MELBOURNE. Melbourne, April 13. The Governor laid the foundation stone of the Melbourne Cathedral to-day. There was a large attendance, and the proceedings were carried out with considerable ceremony. LONDON MARKET. London, April 18. The New Zealand securities remain firm at last quotations ; 5 per cent, new loan, 105 ; 44- per cent, loan, 9ST. New Zealand wheat remains at 47s 3d to 47s Gd.per 4961b5, ex warehouse. Adelaide wheat and flour are unchanged. COLONIAL MARKETS. Adelaide, Aj ril 14. Wheat in Adelaide, 4s 5d ; wheat at outports,4s 3d. Melbourne, April 14. New Zealand oats are slow of sale at 2s 3d. Sugar at auction has realised £1 per lon higher. It is stated here that Messrs Money Wigram’s steamship Norfolk will, on her next trip from England, go direct to Lyttelton and Wellington. SHOOTING AT THE SPANISH KING. Madrid, April 14, Francisco Otero, who was found guilty of attempting the life of King Alphonso on the 30th December, was executed to-day.
