They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, and marked outside ‘‘ Tender for Gravelling.” Specifications and conditions may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Wellington, Wanganui, Hawera, and New “Plymouth ; also at the Post Office, Carlyle ; Telegraph Office, Norraanby ; and at the Armed Constabulary Camp at Opunake. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received as above if presented at any Telegraph Office by NOON of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at any of the above named offices by the same hour, and accompanied by a deposit cheque on some Bunk in the town where the tender is lodged for the amount mimed iu the specifications; such cheque to be specially marked by a Banker as good for twenty-one days, and to be in favor of the lieceiverGeneraVs Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. N.B. —Parties tendering will be required to prospect for, and find, a supply of gravel as near the work as possible; and each tenderer must state the least number of teams be intends to employ on the work ; not less than ten teams, however, shall be employed on any one contract.
