WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken under “ The Public Works Act, 1876,” and “ The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a Road in Section four hundred and lortynme, Block one, Wairoa Survey District, Provincial District o( Wellington: And whereas the Wairoa Highway Board hits laid before the Governor the memorial and map mentioned in and signed and certified as required by the said Acts: Now, therefoae, T, Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson, Govei nor of the Colony of NewZealaml, by and with Lite advice and consent of the Executive Council <>f tinsaid colony, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and million lies in unvested by sections twenty-one, twentytwo, twenty-three, twenty-four, and twenty-five of “ The Public Works Act, 1876,” and by section twenty-eight of “ The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 187S,”aii<l of any otlier pom-r and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road ; and that, from and alter the eleventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, the laud so described shall become absolutely vested in feesimple in Her Majesty, discharged from nil mortgages, charges, claims, estates, and interests of what kind soever, for use as a road. SCHEDULE. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood and 62 perches, more or less, situated in the Survey District of Wairoa, Provincial District of Wellington, portion of section 449 (education reserve), Block 1, commencing near the northemnost corner of s..id section. Bounded generally Westerly by lines, 469 and 258 links respectively ; thence generally Easterly by original road-line, by line 162 links, by part of Section 449, 91, and 142 links; thence again by original roadline, by line 2U6 links, to commencing point; be the aforesaid linkages eitlmr more or less ; the above particulars being delineated upon the map attached to the memorial referred to.
