Infurm-ition was received hero this morning from ban Francisco, that a the had occurred on board the Pacific Mail Coinpany’sstcamship City of Sydney, while lying in the dock at San Franciso. The extent of damage she has sustained is at present unknown. BOM BAY. March 15. A report has been received from Afgl lanistan to the effect that the enemy have capi tired the village of Charikar, near the City of Cahni, and a new Afghan campaign is now considered inevitable, BRISBANE. March 16. Queensland National Bank has received a telegram from London, to the effect that the floating of proposed Queensland loan has been postponed until after the forthcoming general election in England, as it is feared the excitement attending the same might endanger success of loan.
