They must be addressed to the Hon. Minister for Public Works, and marked outside ‘•Tender for Gravelling or Metalling.” Specifications and conditions may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Wellington, Wanganui, Hawera, and New Plymouth ; also at the Post Office, T'arlyle ; and at the Telegraph Office, > Normanhy. All tenders must be accompanied by a deposit cheque for the amount named in the specifications, such cheque to be specially marked by a Banker as good for twenty-one days, and to he in favor of the ReceiverGenerals Deposit Account only, and not lo bearer or order. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. N.B.—Parties tendering will be required to prospect for, and find, a supply ot gravel as near the work as possible; and each tenderer must state the least number of teams ho intends to employ on the work: not less than six teams, however, shall bo employed on any one contract.
