RIFLE SHOOTING.
Thk Rifle given by Mr J, Thomson was fired for on the Carlyle Range on Saturday last, when twenty competitors came forwaid. Although the weather was all that could he desired, the shooting was any thing but good, as will be seen by the following scores. The conditions of match wore—--400, 500, and 600 yards ; any position ; five shots at each range.
H. Chadwick was declared the winner.
