NOTICE IS hereby given, that in pursuance of the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1876, and the amendments thereof, it is proposed to stop that portion of the Road lying between sections numbered 256 and 258, and sections 259 and 260, Patea District. .Bounded os follows:—By a line commencing at a point 13-7 links from the north-eastern angle of section numbered 256 in the plan of the Patea District, and proceeding thence along the eastward boundary of the said section 1I52"8 links, 54J links, and 50 links; thence along the eastward boundary of sections 258 and 541 4697.5 links, thence 872.3 links in a bearing of 1390 lOmin., thence 227.4 links in a bearing of 1500 12min. to boundary of section numbered 2GO in the plan of the said District, thence 2085-4 links along the south-western boundary of the said section 2GO, thence 1601, 497-1, 1009-7 links along the south-western boundary of section numbered .259 in the said plan, thence 1502 links to meet the starting point. And to make a New Road in lien thereof, over parts of section numbered 256, 259, 260 in the plan of the District of Patea : Bounded ns follows;—By a line commencing at the North-Eastern angle of the said section 256, proceeding thence 41 links in a bearing iSldegs Dmins ; thence 50-G links in a bearing MGdegs SOtuins; thence 13-7 links to meet the starting point. Also over part of sections numbered 259 and 260 in the plan of the said District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western angle of section numbered 259 on the plan of the Patea District, proceeding thence 18-7 links along the northern boundary of said section ; thence 2593-1 links in a bearing of MGdegs 30mins to meet the South-Eastern boundary of said section numbered2so; thence 832-6 links in the same bearing ; thence 1592-2 links in a bearing of 153degs 12mins; thence 858 links inn bearing 139degs lOmins,meeting the South-Western boundary of section numbered 260 ; thence 1091-Slinks in the said South-Western boundary ; thence 1371-1 links in a hearing of 153degs 12mins; thence 804-6 links in a bearing of I46degs SOmins. meeting North-Western boundary of section numbered 260 ; thence 2624 6 links in tire same bearing, meeting the Western boundary of said section numbered 259; thence along the said boundary 133"t links to the starting point.
