NOTICE IS hereby given, that in pnrsnance of the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1876, and the amendments thereof, it is proposed to stop that portion of the Road lying between sections ntimbered 256 and 258, and sections 256 and 260, Patea District Bounded as follows;—By a line commencing at a point 13-7 links from the north-eastern angle of section numbered 256 in the plan of the Patea District, and proceeding thence, along the eastward boundary of the said section 1152'3 links, 541 links, and 50 links; thence along the eastward boundary of sections 258 and 541 4697.5 links, thence 872.3 links in a bearing of 1390 lOmin., thence 227.4 links in a bearing of 1500 12min. to boundary of section numbered 260 in the plan of the said District, thence 2085-4 links along the south-western boundary of the said section 260, thence 1501, 497-1, 1009-7 links along the son th-western boundary of section mi inhered 259 in the said plan, thence 156-2 links to meet the starting point. And to make a New Road in lieu thereof, over parts of section numbered 256, 259, 260 in the plan of the District of Patea : Bounded as follows;—By a line commencing at 11 ic A l orth-Eastern angle oi the said section 256, proceeding thence 41 links in n bearing 134degs 9mins ; thence 50-6 links in a bearing 146degs SOtuins; thence 13-7 links to meet the starting point. Also over part of sections numbered 259 and 260 in the plan of the said District, bounded by a line commencing nt the north-western angle of section numbered 259 on the plan of the Patea District, proceeding thence 18-7 links along the northern boundary of said section : thence 2593-1 links in a bearing of 146(legs 30rnins to meet the South-Eastern boundary of said section numbered 259; thence 832-6 links in the same bearing ; thence 1592-2 links in a bearing of 153dcgs I2mins; thence 858 links in a bearing I39dcgs lOinins,meeting the South-Western boundary of section numbered 260 : thence 1091*8 links in the said South-Western boundary ; thence 1371-1 links in a bearing of 153degs 12mins; thence 804-G links in a hearing of 146 dogs 30mins, meeting North-vVestern boundary of section numbered 26u ; thence 2624-6 links in the same healing, meeting the Western boundary of said section numbered 2./9; thence along the said boundary 133"7 links to the starling point. Plans shewing the proposed alterations arc deposited at the office of the Hawera District Road Board, in Hawera, and are opm to public inspection during office hours.
