NEW ZEALAND ROADS Tenders for Gravelling. Public Works Office, Wellington, February 7, ISSO. mENDERS will be received at the J Public Works Office, RAWER A, until noon on TUESDAY, the 17th Februaiy, 1880, for ORAY ELLIN G two Contracts (Nos. 4 and 5), of about one mile and a half each, on the main line of road North of the Waingongoro River. They must be addressed to the Hon the Minister for Public Works, and marked outside “ Tenders for Gravelling.” Specifications and conditions may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Welhngton, Wanganui, Haw era, and New Plymouth ; also at the Post Office, Carlyle ; Telegraph Office, Norman by ; and at the Armed Constabulary Gamp, at Opnnake. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received as a hove, if presented at any Telegraph Office by Noon of the same date, provided written tenders in due form are lodged at any of the above named offices Jay the same hour, and accompanied by a deposit cheque uii some Bank in the town where the tender is lodged, for the amount named in the specifications, such cheque to be specially marked by a Banker as good for twenty-one days, and to A in Juror of the Receiver General s Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted, N.B.—Parties tendering will be required to prospect for, ami find, a supply of gravel as near the works as possible ; and each tenderer must state the least | number of teams he intends to employ | on the work, not less than ten teams, | however, shall be employed on any one | con tract.
