CRICKET.
Fuoii the Australasian we learn that Mr Bunnor, whose name appears as one of tlie Australian Eleven that are going to pay a visit to England, is a native of the Clarence River district, N.S.W. He stands 6ft Gin in Insight, and weighs over lost. From this it would appear that he is decidedly a weighty specimen of the cornstalk breed, and his performance in the match Australian Eleven v Fifteen of Victoria was a very creditable one. He is evidently a powerful hitter, as the following answer to a correspondent in the paper quoted i from will show—“ Mr A. Loughnan, in a * match, hit a ball over the pavilion, but Mr Bonnor, of the Australian Eleven, hit a ball still further, a straight drive from the eastern wicket, the ball striking the top of the Oft fence, otherwise it would have dropped many yards outside. In practice he hit a ball from a wicket down in the southern corner of-the ground clean over the skittle alley, some 20 yards into the
Richmond paddock, the distance being estimated at 150 yards.” The Australian Eleven were successful in their second match, which was played at Bendigo on January 7th and Bth, and was against 22 of the Bendigo United Cricket Club.
