It is a wonder to ns (Taranaki Herald ) that the enterprising settlors of Inglewood have not ore this erected a public hall worthy of their thriving township. At present- there is nut a building suitable to give an entertainment in, and although use is made of the (foverument Duilding, n, is very inconvenient for the performers, and the enjoyment of the audience is spoileil by the annoyance they experience. On Wednesday UieOaraudinis performed there, and the building was crowch-d : but there was an audience outside which during the whole of the concert did all it could 10 disturb the performers and the audience by tile noise that was made. Kerosene tins were rattled, stones were thrown on the roof of the buildipg, and sticks poked through holes in the sides, whilst the yells of children was, we belioec, something dreadful. Unfortunately, Constable Tapp happened to be in town with a prisoner on that evening, or no doubt this disturbance would not have been permitted. Holloway's Ointment and Pills. — Dangerous Chest Complaints.—The enumeration of these diseases is scarcely necessary, as, unfortunately, most Englishmen know them to their cost. Coughs, common colds, influenza, bronchitis asthma, pleurisy, inflammation of the lungs, and even consumption in its early stages, are successfully treated by nibbing Holloway’s Ointment upon the chest and upon the back between the shoulders. It penetrates internally, checks the cold shiveiings, relieves the over-gorged lungs, gradually removes oppression from the chest, and restores the obstructed respiration hitherto both distressingly disagreeable and highly dangerous. In treating this class of diseases, Holloway’s kills should always be taken while using his Ointment ; they purify the blood, promote perspiration, and allay dangerous irritations.
