KAKARAMEA FLOUR MILLS. Flour in sacks and in bags. Po.lard, 5s per 100 lbs ; bran, 3s per 90 lbs. EDWIN PAYNE. December 6, 1879. 270 o MR FREEMAN K. JACKSON'S FORTNIGHTLY STOCK REPORT. Wanganui, December 3. The sale at Waverley on Friday was well attended by settlers, but the bidding was very dull, resulting in a large number of the stock offered being passed in at the auction. I succeeded in placing all the stock afterwards at the quotations below. Prices ruled aoout the same as at last sale. At the yards to-day, the beef was of good quality, and made about 22s the lOOlbs. Store cattle were in unlimited numbers, and at fair values. Sheep, only a few were penned, not sufficient for the trade, the bad weather delaying shearing operations, accounting for the small number offered. Prices were at extreme rates. Quotations are :

Cattle—At Waverley, 335 head were yarded -3-year-old steers. £5 7s fid ; 2-year-olds, £3 17s fid ; cows and calves, .-£5 ; cows, £3 5s to £4; heifers, £3 17s fid ; yearlings. £2 ns to £2 10s. At the yards to-day, fill head came forward —Fat bullocks, good quality, £8 5s to £9 10s ; medium quality, £7 12s fid; 2-year-old steers, £3 17s fid ; yearlings, £2 to £2 2s fid ; milch cows, £5 17s Gd to £7 10s. Sheep—At Waverley, 1,178 were penned— Hoggets. 3s fid to 4s 9d. At St. Hill Street, 171 were sold —Fat wethers. 8s fid to 9s 3d ; ewes and lambs in wool, 11s 9d.

pigs—Store porkers. 10s. Horses —A large number were offered— Unbroken draught fillies, £l4 to £2O ; hacks, £6 to £8 ; 1 Superior hack, £22 ; unbroken light horses, from £2 5s to £5. Exports —1,600 sheep.
