Exhibits of imported or of local manufacture arc respectfully invited, when prizes wi.l be given if of sufficient merit. LEAPING MATCH. A leaping match will take place at 3.30 p.m.; entrance fee, 10s. Three trials allowed at each rise of the bar. Baulks to count as trials. Entries for this event can be made with the Secretary on the ground, up to hour of commencement on the day of the show. SPECIAL PRIZES. Mr D. Ballam, Waverley,'offers a prize of a piece of plate, value live guineas, for the best colt or lilly, two-year-old or under, by Gladiator. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Members of the Association can exhibit on paying the following fees : Horses : Entires, 10s; other classes, ss. Cattle ; Bulls, ss; other classes, 2s 6U. Single sheep, 2s 6d; pen of three, 6s. Pigs, 2s 6d ; poultry, dogs, and produce, Is ; implements, 2s 6d. Non-members to pay double fees in every case. 2. All stock exhibited must be the bona .fide property of the exhibitor, or his principal. 3. The names, residences, and districts of the exhibitor and breeder, the breed of the animal he intends to exhibit, the pedigree of the stock as far as known—of sheep, the time of shearing—-young horses and cattle, the date of birth—must be given to the Secretary with entries. 4. In cattle, class A, the ages will date from Ist August, in each year. 5. No competitor will be allowed to exhibit more than one lot in produce class. 5, Stock that cannot be shown in a competing class can be exhibited as extra stock, and if deemed worthy of a prize by the judges, one will be awarded. 7. In no case shall a prize be adjudged unless the judges shall deeju the lot to possess sufficient merit, more especially if only one lot is exhibited. 8. Ail exhibits for competition must be on the Show Ground as follows :—Sheep and pigs, before 8 a.m. ; cattle, 9 a.m.; horses, dairy produce, poultry, dogs, implements, 10 a.m-. sharp of the Show day. Judging to commence at 10 a.m. 9. The Committee will not, under any circumstances, hold themselves responsible for loss, damage, or rnis-delivery of stock, produce, or implements exhibited at the Show* 10. All protests must be in writing, and left with the Secretary before 4 o’clock on the day of the Show. The decision of the Managing Committee to be final. 11. No stock, produce, or implements exhibited to be removed from the ground until after 4 o’clock on. the day of the Show, without a special order from the Secretary, 12. All horses and bulls must be led. ENTRIES. Entries for the Show will be received by the Secretary, through the Post, at any time up to Wednesday, 19th November, such entries to be accompanied by the entrance fees. Entries of stock must state the name, sex, and age of the animal intended to be exhibited, and the class and section in which it is to compete. Entries will also be received by the Secretary at the Office of the Association, Carlyle, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 17th, 18th, and 19th November, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., after which no entries will on any account. be received, except where otherwise stated in the foregoing programme. N.B.—The supporters of this Association are reminded that their annual subscriptions are now due, and they are respectfully requested to pay the same to the Hon. Trea*surer, Mr J, Gibson, Carlyle. Exhibitors being members, and claiming privileges as'such', must pay their subscriptions (together with entrance fees) on making their entries, if not previously paid. Admission—To the general public, before 12 o’clock, 2s 6d ; after that time, Is. Children, half-price. 1 Members of the Association, exhibitors and their servants, will be admitted free on production of their Members’ Ticket or Card of admission, which will be given to exhibitors by the Secretary.
