Wanganui, Nov. 5. The yards fo-day were well filled with stock, and it is satisfactory to report a decided improvement in values for store cattle and sheep. The bidding was brisk throughout, every lot being sold under the hammer at an advance ■of 6s per head in cattle, and Is in sheep. The beef was of.medium quality, and made 20s the lOOlhs, Horse's were exceedingly dull of naie, which resulted in only a few being placed.With this exception, the sale must be considered satisfactory. Cattle—222 head were yarded—Fat bullocks, £8 15a to £9 17s 6d; cows. £7 12s 6d ; store steers, £5 10s to £6 6s; 2-year-olds, £4 Ss; yearlings, £2 oh; cows, £4 ss; heifers and iteers. £3 ss. Sheep—7B2 were penned—Fat sheep in wool, 8s 9d to I is 3d; shorn, 6s to6s9d; store wethers. 4a fid. Horses—No sale. Pigs—Store porkers, 6s to 13s 6d. Exporta—2s cattle, and 1200 sheep.
