Maiden Plate of 40 sovs ; U miles ; weight for age ; for horses that have never won an advertised race of the amount of 20 sovs at the time of entry ; a winner of any such race after the time of entry to cany a penalty of 71bs ; of two or more such races, lOlbs ; entrance, 3 sovs. To start at 12.30 p.m. 4. Waverley-Waitotara Cup of 40 sovs ; two miles ; weight for age ; entrance, 3 sovs. To start at 1.30 p.m. 5. Waverley- Waitotara Handicap of 100 sovs ; miles ; second horse to receive 15 sovs from the stakes ; nomination, 2 sovs, acceptance, 4 sovs. To start at 3.30. 7. Consolation Race of 15 sovs ; Handicap ; once round the course ; entrance, 1 sov. To start at 4.30 p.m. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, Flying Handicap, ami Waverley-Waitotara Handicap, to he in the hands of the Secretary before 8 p.m. on the 20lh Cetoher ; weights to be declared on the 12th November, accept;!i.ees and general entries on the 20th November. No entry will be received for any races except upon this condition—that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of ,tho racing, shall be decided by a majority of the. Stewards present, or those whom they may’- appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be scaled, and addressed to the Hoir Secretary, Waverley, entrance money enclosed, witn the name, age at lime of entry, pedigree, and in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered, will be fined,3 sovs. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. In all weight-for-age races, the weight-for-age scale of the Wanganui Jockey Club rales will be adhered to. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are required .to give notice, to that effect to the Secretary, or Clerk of the Scales, one half-hour before starting. Any person .neglecting or refusing to comply with this .mle,.shall pay a fine of 5 sovs to the race fund. All entries should be made oh the Club’s printed forms of entry, which may be obtained at the office of the Hon Secretary, All races to be under the W.J.C. Buies.
