The holders of the deed -afterwards tried to eject the present occupiers, but the latter Obtaining legal advice, the \vhole thing came out, and Janies weiit to Wanganui, and soon after to Forty Mile Bush, and p'olice were unable to find him. It is said that the persons concerned in this transaction are ail occupying good positions.
