Handicap Hurdle Race of 40 sovs ; 2 miles ; over eight flights of hurdles, 3ft 9in high ; tup weight not to exceed 12st ; lowest weight not to be less than . 9st ; nomination, 1 sov, acceptance, 2 sovs. To start at 11 a.m. 2. Hack Hurdle Piace of 10 sovs ; once ' round the course ; weights not less than 9st ; entrance, 1 sov.. To start at 11 a.m. 3. Maiden Plate of 40 sovs ; miles ; weiglit for age ; fyr horses that have never won an advertised race of (ho amount of 20 sovs at the time of entry ; a winner of any such race after the time of entry to carry a penaltj* of Tibs ;of two or more such races, 101 bs ; entrance, 3 sovs. To start at 12.30 p.m. 4. Waverley-Waitotara Cup of 40 sovs ; two miles ; weight for age ; entrance, 3 sovs. To start at 130 p.m. 5. Flying Handicap nfgSO sovs ; f of a mile ; nomination, 1 sov, acceptance, 2 so vs. To start at 2.30 p.m. 6. Waveßley-Waitotara Handicap of 100 sovs ; 24.miles ; second horse to receive 15 sovs from the stakes ; nomination, 2 soVs, acceptance, 4 sovs. To start at 3.30. 7. Consolation Race of 15 sovs ; Handicap ; once round the- cou.se ; entrance, 1 suv. To start at 4.30 p.m. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, Flying Handicap, and Wavi-rley-Waitolara Handicap, to be in the hands of the Secretary before 8 p.m. on the 20th Cctoher ; weights to be declared on the 12th November, acceptances and general entries on the 20tli November. Qualification fee for Non-members, £1 Is. RULES. No entry will be received for any races except noon this condition—that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those wlpmi they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed, and addressed to the Hon Secretary, Waverley, entrance money enclosed-, witn the name', age at time of entry, pedigree, and in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered, will be fined 3 sovs. When two or more horses start, the property of (he same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. In all weight-for-age races, the weigh t-for-age scale of the Wanganui Jockey Club rules will be adhered to. All personsintending to withdraw’ horses, are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary, or Clerk of tbe Scales, one half-hour before starling. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with tin’s .title, shall pay a tine of 5 sovs to the race fund. All entries should be made on the Club’s printed forms of entry, which may be obtained at the office of the Hon Secretary. All races to he under tbe W.J.C. Rules.
