HOUSE OP REPRESENTATIVES. Wellington, October 3. Mr Macandrew, in reply to a question, said Government contractors would have to pay men fortnightly, or incur a penalty of £2O. ; In reply to a question, the Premier said the Government had telegraphed to Sir Julius Vogel that it was not desirable he should stand for election in English Parliament. The Reform Jury Laws, and Abolition of Grand Jury system, the Premier said, were under consideration of Government. . No Confidence debate was resumed by Mr Bowen. Tairua and Mohi Tawhi declared for Ministry. Tomoana could not support the Ministry, but would support the Leader of Oppositin, because ho was a new man. Mr Sheehan followed, speaking till 5.30.
