Handicap Hurdle Each cf 40 sovs ; 2 miles ; over eight flights of hurdles, 3ft 9in high ; top weight not to exceed 12st ; lowest weight not to be less than 9st ; nomination, 1 sov, acceptance, 2 sovs. ' To start at 11 a.m. 2. Hack Hurdle Race of 10 sevs ; once round the course ; weights not Jess than 9.st ; entrance, 1 sov. To start at 11 a.in. 3. Maiden Plate of 40 sovs ; TV miles; weight for age ; for horses that have never won an advertised race of the amount of 20 sovs at the lime of entry ; a winner of any such race after the time of entry to carry a penalty of 7lbs ; of two or more such races, 101 bs ; entrance, 3 sovs. To start at 12.30 p.m. 4. Waverley-Waitotara Cup of 40 sovs ; two miles ; weight for age ; entrance, 3 sovs. To start at 130 p.m. 5. Flying Handicap off 30 sovs; $ of a mile ; nomination, 1 sov. acceptance, 2 sovs. To start at 2.30 p.m. G. Waverley-Waitotara Handicap of 100 sovs ; miles ; second horse to receive 15 sovs from the stakes ; nomination, 2 sovs, acceptance, 4 sovs. To start at 3.30. 7. Consolation Pace of 15 sovs ; Handicap ; once round tlie course ; entrance, 1 sov. To start at 4.30 p.m. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, Flying Handicap, and Waverley-Waitotara Handicap, to be in the hands of the Secretary before 8 p.m. on the 201 hj October ; weights to bo declared on the 12th November, acceptances and general entries on the 20th November. Qualification fee for Non-members, 411 is. RULES. No entry will be received for any races except upon this condition—!hat all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall bo decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall bo final. All entries to be sealed, and addressed to the lion Secretary, Waverley, entrance money enclosed, witn the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered, will be fined 3 sovs. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. In. all weight-for-age races, the weigbt-for-age scale of tlie Wanganui Jockey Club rules will be adhered to. All personsmtending to withdraw horses, are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary, or Clerk of tlie Seales, one half-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with tin's .mle, shall pay a fine of 5 sovs to the race fund. All entries should be made on the Club’s printed forms of entry, which may be obtained at the office of the Hon Secretary. All races to be under the W.J.C. Eules.
