Nominations for the Flying Handicap; Handicap Hurdles, and Patea District Jockey Club Handicap must be made at the Hon Secretary’s Office, Carlyle, on or before 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 4th. Weights for the Flying Handicap and Patea District Jockey Club Handicap will be declared and published in the Patea Mail, on October Bth. Acceptances for Flying Handicap and Patea District . Jockey Club Handicap to be made general entry night, October 25. Acceptance for the Handicap Hurdles to be made by 10 a.in. on the morning of the second day’s racing. Weights for this race will be posted at the Albion Hotel, on the evening of the first day’s racing. General Entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon Secretary Patea District Jockey Club, Carlyle, with entrance money and qualification fee enclosed, and name, age, and predigree of the horse; also name of owner, and colors of the rider, by 8 p.m. on October 25th, 1879.
