Sir, —For the information of those interested, I herewith forward you Mr Bryce’s reply to my letter forwarding reso’utions passed at the public meeting held here on 2Gth ult.—l am, &c., GEO. S. BRIDGE. Waverley, August sth, 1879. (Copy.) “Wellington, August Ist, 1879. “ Sir, —I beg to acknowledge the receipt of yonr letter of the 29th ult., covering resolutions passed at a meeting at Waverley, and have the pleasure to inform you in reply, that the three Taranaki and two Wanganui members have already waited on the Government and urged 011 their attention in the strongest manner the views set forth in the resolutions.—l am, &c.,
