WAVERLEY TOWN BOARD.
(To the Editor of the Patea Mail.) Siu, —As a ratepayer in the Wavcrley Town Board district, I must protest against the apathy shown hy the Board in the way of doing anything to improve the streets in the town of Waverlcy. One thing they are certainly doing—making and collecting rates, and I suppose putting it in the Bank for safe keeping. I must inform them it is not given for that purpose, hut to improve their streets, &c. I need only point to Bear-street as being in a disgraceful state, and all but impassable. Furze is allowed to grow in others, nearly across the streets so called. And at every corner of a street one is asked where is the Town Board. 1 think at next election a little fresh blood should bo infused, as the present is very Watery.—> I am, &c. RATEPAYER. Waverlcy, July 11, 1879. o
