CABLE MESSAGES.
[Reuter’s Telegrams.] SYDNEY. May 13. Advices from New Guinea state that ten more native teachers at New Guinea have died of fever. Arrived—Somerset, at Cooktown, from Singapore. Sir Henry Parkes, in reference to the vote for the Public schools, stated that the Government contemplated introducing, important educational changes. Arrived —Wakatipu. MELBOURNE. May 12. Arrived—Cuzco, Myers and Cox, warehousemen, have suspended payment. Cox is a member for East Melbourne, and will probably have to resign. Pour mounted armed men were seen on Dandenong Ranges. Superintendent, with' a force of police, have gone in pursuit. May 13. It is clearly proved that the men seen at Dandenong were not the Kellys. A single case of bailing up a man unknown is reported. Sailed—Rotorua.
