The Taranaki Herald of Monday last says “On Friday last, a number of natives, acting under, instructions from Te Whiti, went to Mr Driscoll, who is employed surveying the railway line between Stratford and Mangowhero, and ordered him to move his men away. It is stated that the men were moved on Saturday, but for this latter statement we cannot vouch.”
