WAVERLEY.
(From our own Correspondent.) A disputation waited on the lion, Mr Macandrcw on Tuesday, consisting of Messrs Kells, Winchcorab, Mason, and Swinbourn, Mr Winchcomb brought forward the question of the railway and the site for station. Mr Macandrcw said that the line would be pushed forward as quickly as-possible, and as far as he could see at present the likely site for the station was in the direction of the country; but that nothing would be decided without careful consideration. He hoped to have tenders out for the contract in June. Mr Swinbourn spoke about the Town Belt and Town Hall reserve, as chairman of the Town Board. Mr Macandrcw said it was ont of his department, but that ho was in favor of Local Bodies being assisted as much as possible, and that he would enquire into the matter.
