TARANAKI RACES. New Plymouth, March 31. A good many people attended the Autumn Meeting to-day. The following' is the result;— Maiden Plate—Maid of Honor, I; Snowstorm, 2. Autumn Handicap—Otawa, 1 ; Peep o’ Hay, 2. Steeplechase—Old’s Billy, 1; Victor, 2. Innkeepers’ Purse—Resolution, 1;■ Otawa, 2. Flying Handicap—lsaac Walton, 1 Slander Colt. 2. Forced Handicap— Expectation, 1; Venus Transit, 2. Copestake and young Quinlivan both met with bad accidents. The latter is not expected to get round.
