IN pursuance of the power granted under “The.Public W(pks Act, 1870,”. the County Council of Patea have resolved to’,'establish a Toll on 'the North or Putca side of the Waitotara Bridge. -.*Tho'following will bo tho scale of tolls payable, viz. : SECOND SCHEDULE. 1 s. d. 1. For every two-wheeled vehicle with springs, drawn by one horse ... ... ... ... 1 0 For every additional horse attached to such vehicle ... 0 G 5. For every two-wheeled vehicle without springs, drawn by one horse ... ... ... ... 1 0 And for any vehicle attached thereto ... ... ... ... 0 G For e.very additional horse attached to such vehicle as aforesaid ... ... ... ••• 0 G 6. For every foal at foot, or calf 0 3 This Schedule shall be read as if the words “ marc, gelding, ass, null'’, bull, cow, or calf,” were inserted alter the word horse throughout. Provided that not more than one toll shall be taken on any vehicle or horse passing or returning nu the same day : And provided further that in case of a vehicle without springs having the tires of all its wheels of a breadth of not less than five inches, the wheels being so formedj that a surface of not less than five inches conies in contact with the ground on a firm cart road, the amount of tolls shall be oneball* the rate which would otherwise be charged under this Schedule.
