Establishing a Toll Gate at WaitotaraIN pursuance of the power granted under “The Public Works Act, 1876,” the County Council of Paten have resolved to establish a Toll on the Korth or P«tca side of the Wailotara Bridge. The following will be the scale of tolls payable, viz.: SECOND SCHEDULE. s. d. 1. For every sheep or other head of small cattle ... 0 Oi 2. For every horse saddled or harnessed 0 6 3. For every horse not in harness or head of groat cattle ... ... 0 3 4. Provided that not more than one toll shall be taken on any vehicle or horse passing or returning, on the same day : And provided further that in case of a vehicle without springs having the tiros of all its wheels of a breadth of not less than five inches, the wheels being so formed that a surface of not less than five inches comes in contact with the ground on a firm cart road, the amount of tolls shall be onehalf the rate which would otherwise be charged under this Schedule.
