PROSPECTUS : TEE promoters have been induced to place this scheme before the public for the following reasons ; —That owing to the rapid progress made by the Township of Waverley, and the surrounding District, it has become imperative that a Building should bo erected, of far larger dimensions than any at present in existence. Public meetings have been held, and resolutions passed in favor of enlarging tiie old building, but owing to the unsatisfactory state of the title it was found impossible to proceed. The promoters are therefore ot opinion that failing to procure the old site it would be advisable to procure a new one, and proceed at once with the erection of a building, more especially as the Government have decided on pushing on the Railway Works, the progress of which will give a. fresh impetus to the District generally, and iii consequence a rapid increase of population may be expected. In consideration of these circumstances a large number'of townspeople and settlers have determined to make an effort to erect a Town Hall of such as to be suitable for all public gatherings. A large and influential Directory has been formed, who are prepared to rake up 300 or more Shares, convinced as they are of the necessity of the undertaking, and of the success which must attend their venture in a pecuniary sense. In confirmation of this they would point to the success which has, attended like prospects in Carlyle and Hawera, and feel confident that this District, when called upon, will not be behind hand in according a full measure of support in a matter of Such public importance and utility. In conclusion, (be promoters fell that it would be advisable to leave the question of site for the decision of the Shareholders. Early applications for Shares are invited in order that no time may be lost in commencing operations. On sufficient Shares being applied for, a general meeting of the Shareholders will he called and all necessary steps taken, for the formation of the Company on a permanent basis. Forms of application may be bad on application to H. F. MASON, Manager, Waverley. Applications for Shares close on the 28th March. 233 ml
