A professional burglar named Brown, alias Furnace, said to bo one of Sydney gang known as the Forty Thieves, was sentenced to-day to eighteen months on three charges of larceny. He referred to Sunday entertainments of certain Revivalists, and said they had been severely criticised by the Press. Councillor Cass said he took no notice of the Press, as it was known Press people were sceptics and infidels.
