Provided that not more than one toll shall be taken on any vehicle or horse passing or returning on the same day : And provided further that in case of a vehicle without springs having the tires of all its wheels of a breadth of not loss than five inches, the wheels being so formed that a surface of not less than five inches comes in contact with the ground on a firm cart road, the amount of tolls shall bo onehalf the rate which would otherwise bo charged under this Schedule. Order of the Patea County Council. tN pnrsiiimcc of tbo power granted to 1 County Councils under “ Tlio Counties Act, 187G,” tlio County Council of Patea did on the 17th December, 1878, pass a resolution dopting Bye-laws in respect of Peddlers and Hawkers, and whereas the said County Council did further on the sth February, 1879, confirm the same : Notice is hereby given that the said Bye-laws will come into operation on the Kith day of February instant.
