(Per Press Agency.) WELLINGTON. January 31. Corrected Postal Revenue for the halfyear ended 31st December last, shows cash collected £57,750. Rums still duo on account of postages, £3,000; total £60.760, equal to an annual revenue of £121,500. The estimated total revenue is £121.500, hut this will be exceeded, as the current quarter’s revenue showed an increase over the September and December quarterly returns. Gazette to-day notifies the acceptance of the services of the Patea Light Horse. It is stated that 11. T. Clarke, Undersecretary of Native Affairs, will shortly retire. His successor is not named. Government have practically agreed to the request of the Town Council Chamber of Commerce, and Merchants of Wellington in the matter of a site for Railway station. AUCKLAND. January 31. . The Hon Mr Sheehan leaves here for Wellington to-morrow.
