Mr Teat’s were a first-class La. and should have made better values ; the jM.cs obtained for them do not give much •encouragement to the breeders. Prices were for best heifers, £G ; mixed steers and cows. £5 7s 6d ; steers, 12s 61; mixed yearlings and eighteen i .enths old. £3 15s. At St.Hill-.strect to,-day jo.cnty head were sold. Fat bullocks. £8 Iv> to £lO 10s; three year-old steers, £7 7s <TI ; cows and calves. £6 2s Cd. SiiKur. —At Waverley, 1,954 head were pained. Store wethers, 7s 3d ; ewes, 0s 6d ; j lived ewes and wethers, 4s (id to 4s 9d ; fat v" Thors. 9s 3d, At St. Hill Street, 1,480 i. sme to hand. Fat wethers, 7s 6d to 8s (id ; f.v.ii arid lambs in low condition. 3s 9d ; store r,- ••Is. rs, 5s :»d ; good lambs, 5s 3d. Raais.—Mr Peat’s Lincolns brought from £ 10s to £3 12s Gd ; Mr Shield’s pure-breds, f; or\ £3 to £9 5s Horses. —About thirty head were offered, ■chiefly of inferior class. Prices as at last sales rates. Exports.—Seventy sheep, three hundred •cattle. Hawera, January 17. Messrs McLean and Co report holding their monthly sale at Hawera on the 14th instant, v. hen There were yarded 52 head of cattle. Two-year old steers brought from £5 12s Gd to £6 I7s Gd; cows £G.
