Entrance money and qualification fee enclosed with the name, age, pedigree of the horse, as also name of owner, and colors of the rider, by 5 p.m., on February 8, 1879. The second horse in every instance, excepting the Hack Races, to save his stakes. The rules of the Patea District Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Nominations to close general entry night, Feb. 8, 1879; for 3 year old colts Bst 41bs, fillies and geldings Bst 1 lb. Sweep to be paid general entry night 1881-82. Wondside Sires’ Stakes, for 2-year olds (Mcßae and Nicholson’s Cup) of 25 sovs., added to a sweep of 2 sovs., to be run for in 1880-81, for produce of entire horses Dead Shot and Monarch, as 2-year- olds.
